Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

Fieldnoter is built to keep your conversations private. It runs fully on your device. We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data.

What data we collect

None. Fieldnoter has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or third-party tracking. We do not receive your recordings, transcripts, summaries, or any usage data.

Where your content lives

Your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and notes are created and stored only on your iPhone, inside the app. They are not uploaded to any server. If you delete a recording, or delete the app, that content is removed from your device.

Network use

The app connects to the internet for one purpose only: to download the AI models it uses for transcription and summaries, from Hugging Face. This downloads model files to your device. It does not send your audio, transcripts, or any personal information.

Device permissions

  • Microphone: to record audio that is transcribed on your device.
  • Reminders (optional): only if you choose to send action items to the Reminders app.
  • Face ID (optional): only if you turn on the app lock.

You can change these permissions any time in the iOS Settings app.

Payments

Fieldnoter offers a one-time purchase to unlock full use. Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Children

Fieldnoter does not target children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
