Fieldnoter turns every conversation into a transcript with speakers, a summary and action items, processed on the employee's iPhone. There is no cloud service involved, so there is no processing agreement and no data transfer to assess.

We built Fieldnoter. It is one iPhone app that records a conversation, tells the speakers apart and drafts a summary with action items, all of it on the device. There is no account, and no server that could receive the audio.
What you get out of it

A minute-taking service charges around 152,50 euro for a single meeting hour, and cloud notetakers bill per seat every month. Fieldnoter is a one-time purchase, and for larger numbers we quote a price on request.

The recording and the transcript stay on the device. There is no processor to assess and no transfer outside the EU. Consent from participants and your own retention policy remain your responsibility.

A transcript records who said what, verbatim, next to the summary. That is more complete than notes written afterwards, and every summary can be checked against the source text.
Where it fits
These are conversations without a calendar item, without a meeting platform and without a bot that could listen in. The meeting solution your organization already runs does not reach them, and the write-up lands on the employee's own plate.

Why this passes IT
There is one network moment. When the app is first set up it downloads a larger speech model, static files from a CDN. That is the only call the app makes, and we would rather name it than claim the app never touches the internet. The limits
Conversations that fall under a legal retention obligation need a different route, because the organization has to be able to produce the material itself. The same holds for records that have to be archived under the Dutch Open Government Act or the Archives Act: those need an archiving path, and we do not provide one. A team licence
Today a single user buys the unlock themselves for 14,99 euro, once. For larger numbers we agree a price with you. We have no published tiers and no self-service procurement route yet, so tell us the numbers and we will come back to you.
For a team we do want to look at what is possible. Write to hello@fieldnoter.app and tell us how many users it concerns and whether the devices are centrally managed. Those two answers decide what we can actually offer. We answer ourselves.
We ask about the device management because on a centrally managed device with a business Apple account an in-app purchase is not always possible. Better to know that before your people walk into it.

Not today. There is no volume licence and no procurement route, because we have not built one. Every user buys the unlock themselves. For a team, write to hello@fieldnoter.app and we will look at what is possible in your situation.
The free app can be distributed through Apple Business Manager and MDM. The unlock is an in-app purchase per user, and on a centrally managed device with a business Apple account that purchase is not always possible. Check it on one of your own devices before you send people to the App Store.
On the device, protected by iOS file encryption and kept out of the iCloud backup. There is no server that could receive them. Delete a recording and it is gone. Delete the app and everything goes with it.
Yes. The app downloads a larger speech model once when it is set up. After that, recording, transcription, speaker labels and the summary all run with the radios off. Airplane mode is also the quickest way to test that claim yourself.
When the organization has to be able to retrieve the material itself. There is no central archive, no audit logging, no admin console and no link to a case management system or DMS, and it runs on iPhone only. Conversations under a legal retention obligation, and records that have to be archived under the Dutch Open Government Act or the Archives Act, need an archiving path we do not provide.
